Hunt in Oklahoma For The Finest Quail, Pheasant,

The Western Cedar Company hunting preserve, located in Oklahoma, doesn't believe in the revolving door approach to your hunting experience. We accept only one reservation each day.  Be prepared to relax and enjoy a leisurely hunt on your own private preserve.

Our goal is to provide each guest a complete hunt.  Good dogs and abundant turkey, quail, pheasant, chukar and deer in natural cover make the difference we think you will appreciate.

Habitat

With 640 acres managed exclusively for wildlife and access to ranches in Woodward and Major counties, even large groups will have ample room to stretch their legs and enjoy an un-crowded day in the great outdoors.  Sixty percent of the hunting preserve located east of Mooreland is open native grass land, with the remainder being intermingled in oaks, red cedars and plum thickets providing excellent game cover.  This section hosts numerous watering holes and feed plots.  The land is managed exclusively for wildlife.  All of these elements combine to create a prime habitat for all types of game, including pheasant, quail, chukar, turkey and deer.

Hunters

We will make every effort to insure each hunter a full bag and a great day in the field.  In the tradition of western Oklahoma hunting, we will move at your pace to create a fun-filled day in the outdoors, combined with a large portion of "OKIE" hospitality.  The experience of hunting at Western Cedar Company hunting preserve will not be soon forgotten.

Dogs

One of the most enjoyable aspects of bird hunting is working behind a brace of good dogs.  Kennels are available on the grounds for your dogs.  Or, if you prefer, our dogs are available at no charge to you.
